Nose gear restoration.

The nose gear leg to be replaced with a new zero timed leg.

01/02/05

New nose gear leg removed from storage cleaned and inspected for corrosion. One minor area of surface corrosion found to be dressed out.

Above. New nose gear assembly removed from storage to be fitted. Transportation

Inhibiting fluid to be drained from shimmy damper and re-charged with om15 or fluid 41.

10/06

restoration of nose gear bay and rigging begins. After much work, most of the components and bay have been found to be serviceable. Port actuating rod required replacement and the retraction jack will require replacement at a later date due to some pitting of the jack. Otherwise the gear is serviceable.
